Jet Senters Aviation is proud to share that our Founder and CEO, Lisa Senters-McDermott, has been appointed President of the Atlanta Aero Club, marking a historic first for the organization.
Lisa succeeds Steve Champness, who has led the Club since 1999 and helped shape it into one of the Southeast’s premier aviation associations. Under his leadership, the Atlanta Aero Club grew into a hub for industry connection, thought leadership, and advocacy. Champness will continue his long-standing contributions to the aviation community through his work with AvBuyer Magazine and the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame.
“Throughout my career in aerospace, I’ve been committed to creating world-class access, convenience, and connections for the people we serve,” said Senters-McDermott. “It’s an honor to now help steward that same mission through the Atlanta Aero Club.”
With more than 27 years in aviation, Lisa’s career has spanned leadership roles in both corporate and entrepreneurial settings. Before founding Jet Senters Aviation in 2011, she served as Senior Vice President of Sales at NetJets/Marquis Jet, helping to redefine access to private aviation for clients around the world.
At Jet Senters Aviation, Lisa continues to lead a referral-only, full-service private aviation firm built on trusted relationships and personalized service — values that closely align with the Atlanta Aero Club’s mission to strengthen Georgia’s aviation community.
The Atlanta Aero Club, founded in 1984 by executives from Lockheed Aircraft, promotes aviation across Georgia through industry programs, educational luncheons, and networking events. The organization’s partners and sponsors include Delta Air Lines, Gulfstream Aerospace, and EWISE Marketing & Communications, whose president Joanne Sanders was recently named the Club’s new Vice President of Marketing and Communications.
